This section is to help you set up Outlook Express to use your new stationery.. Make sure you have Outlook Express version 5 or later...To check which version you have:  in Outlook Express, click help, about Microsoft Outlook Express..  It will tell you the version you are using..  We are now up to 5.5 which you can download for free at the Microsoft website..

I now have three different formats to download.. One is the zipped file containing all the files for your stationery.. The second is an .eml zipped file...  And the third a self extracting .exe file...  I will explain each of these here so you can decide which you would like to use...

First thing we need to do is set up Outlook Express for you to use stationery...  In Outlook Express, click on tools, options...  Click the send tab...  Check to make sure mail sending format is checked for HTML....  Click apply, ok...   To use your new stationery, go to message, new message using, and browse to your new stationery...   Choose one...  Now click the view tab in your message...  Make sure source edit is checked....  You will see three tabs at the bottom of your letter...  edit, source, and, preview.. You type your message in the edit tab...  You can see how your stationery will look when you send it in the preview tab.  and you click back to edit to send your message....

You're ready to go!!!

What should you download??

1) Zipped folder that contains all the files that make the stationery..(4, 5, 0r more per folder)...  Download and save it some place you will remember, and then extract it to your C/Program Files/Common Files/Microsoft Shared/Stationery folder...  You use this stationery in Outlook Express by going to message, new message using, and browsing to the name of your new stationery..  You also get to preview it here to see if it's what you want to use....

2).eml file..  These are in a zipped file..  Download and save the file some place you will remember..  Create a new folder..  Call it ready to use stationery or whatever you like..  Keep the file some place easy to access..  Maybe your desktop...  Then extract the zipped file to this new folder...  This is just one file that you download..  You use this stationery a little differently..  You go to your new folder and pick the stationery you want to use..  It will open in Outlook Express...  (have Outlook Express open and minimized before you do this)...  You use it now the way you would any other stationery..  What's the advantage??  If you want to clean out older stationery, all you have to do is delete this one file in the new folder you created,  (versus 4 or 5 files in the previous download)...   Another advantage is you can attach the .eml to a letter and send it to a friend..  Now they have the stationery too...

3).exe files..  all you do is download this file and when you click it, it will automatically extract to your stationery folder...   You use this by going to message, new message using, and browsing to your new stationery..  Very easy to use...  Disadvantage is much larger file to download......

So that's it!!!  I hope this helps you decide which format you want to download..  And how you use each one...  If you have any problems or questions, please e-mail me...
